When and why did you start your business?
We started Horizon Ridge Construction, LLC in 2018 with the goal of providing dependable residential and light commercial construction services to families and small businesses across West Texas. After years of working for larger contractors, we wanted to create a company that focused more on customer relationships, communication, and quality workmanship.
What makes your business unique? / What are your proudest moments within your business?
What makes our business unique is the level of transparency we provide throughout every project. We keep our clients informed from start to finish and treat every project like it is our own property. One of our proudest moments was completing a large community renovation project ahead of schedule while staying within budget. We are also proud of the long-term relationships we’ve built with repeat clients and local businesses.
What advice would you give to other new business owners?
Stay organized from the very beginning and do not wait too long to get professional financial and bookkeeping support. It is easy to focus only on growing sales while overlooking the financial side of the business. Having accurate records and understanding your numbers makes a huge difference in long-term success.
How do you engage with your community?
We support local school programs, sponsor youth sports teams, and participate in community improvement projects whenever possible. We also try to work with other local businesses and vendors to help support the local economy.
What is the next step you want to take in your business?
Our next step is expanding into larger commercial projects and continuing to grow our team. We also want to improve our internal systems and technology so we can operate more efficiently as we grow.
What was your problem / biggest challenge with your business before meeting Paige Financial Services?
